Too much

They say that you shouldn't make too many life changes at the same time. It's too stressful.

Whatever.

Shortly after my last post, I got a job offer I hadn't been expecting, and boom --there you go -- its going to be a new house and new job, all at the same time.

Tomorrow is my first day at the new gig. I fervently believe in the separation between work and blog, so I won't go into details here, but I'll say this -- it's a really good opportunity and I'm excited. A little overwhelmed, but excited.

Between leaving my old post and this new job I managed to eke out a few days of unemployment. I had fantasies of Mr. Anderson and I running away to an impromptu tropical island getaway with a 90 minute couples massage, but alas... no, instead I supervised the reinforcement of our floor joists and the husband and I rehabbed the upstairs bathroom.

Whew.

Tonight I'm combing the last of the paint out of my hair and trying to make myself presentable for the new position. Wish me luck. :-)

Pffft. New job and a new home? Well, whoop-de-frickin'-do. I'll see your new job and new home, raise you a new city and a declaration of Martial Law, and throw in a little Law School to boot.

New job and a new house. Please.
